It&#8217;s no coincidence that when speaking<br\/>about the marina, we refer to it as a port in the city center, given its unbeatable location, just steps away from<br\/>the main attractions of our capital. Today we&#8217;ll look in detail at how to reach our<br\/>port of Genoa, by boat, by car, or using public transportation, traveling for<br\/>example by train or plane.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The location of our port<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/marinaportoantico.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/free-photo-of-mare-citta-montagne-baia-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24673\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>As mentioned, our port of Genoa is situated in the heart of the city: historically, Genoa<br\/>developed around its harbor, and for this reason, even today it seems that the city<br\/>embraces our marina. As we saw a few weeks ago on these<br\/>same pages, <g id=\"gid_0\">within walking distance<\/g> from our berths, you can reach the Galata Maritime Museum,<br\/>the Royal Palace, the Basilica of Santissima Annunziata del Vastato, Via del Campo, Via<br\/>Garibaldi with its Rolli Palaces, Ducal Palace, San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Bigo, and much<br\/>more.<br\/>But our port of Genoa isn&#8217;t strategically located only in relation to the<br\/>city. We&#8217;re talking about a port that&#8217;s 15 miles from Portofino, 45 miles from Porto Venere,<br\/>65 miles from Sanremo, 85 miles from Monte Carlo, or, looking south, 87 miles from Cape<br\/>Corso: it&#8217;s no coincidence that our marina is chosen every year as a strategic starting point<br\/>for discovering the Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean Seas.  <br\/>It&#8217;s not surprising that alongside Ligurian boaters, our berths are used by<br\/>sailors from all parts of Italy and Europe: as we&#8217;ll see below, cities like Milan (145<br\/>kilometers) and Turin (171 kilometers) are well connected both by car and train.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/marinaportoantico.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Mappa_autostrade_A7_A10_A12_A26.svg_.png\" alt=\"MARINA PORTO ANTICO \" class=\"wp-image-24684\" srcset=\"https:\/\/marinaportoantico.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Mappa_autostrade_A7_A10_A12_A26.svg_.png 640w, https:\/\/marinaportoantico.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Mappa_autostrade_A7_A10_A12_A26.svg_-300x252.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>H<strong>ow to reach the port of Genoa by boat: the entrance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start by looking at how to reach our port of Genoa by boat, perhaps for a<br\/>transit stop in the city during a longer cruise along the Tyrrhenian coast. There is only one way to<br\/>enter \u2013 as well as exit \u2013 the port of Genoa: passage must occur<br\/>at the eastern entrance. Once past this point, motor navigation is mandatory,<br\/>as sailing is absolutely prohibited within the port area.<br\/>As per protocol and Ordinance No. 6\/1996 regarding the regulation of pleasure craft transit in<br\/>port waters, once entering port waters, it is necessary to maintain radio watch on<br\/>VHF channel 16, to ensure informed and safe movement. Consider the boat owner who has commissioned others to<br\/>bring their boat to our moorings, or perhaps those who will depart from our berths for a<br\/>Mediterranean cruise on friends&#8217; yachts. The first excellent news is that our port of<br\/>Genoa boasts a private, dedicated parking facility at Calata Salumi: it&#8217;s a 24\/7 parking lot<br\/>with over 230 parking spaces, convenient for both reaching our berths and visiting the city<br\/>center. Given its location, the parking lot is easy to reach both for those arriving from the east,<br\/>along Via Gramsci, and for those arriving from the west, for example from the<br\/>Genova Ovest highway exit.<br\/>This latter is indeed the reference exit for those wishing to reach our port of<br\/>Genoa by car, although the city is served by four highways: the A12<br\/>Genova-Rosignano, the A10 dei Fiori Genova-Ventimiglia, the A26 Voltri \u2013 Gravellona Toce, and the A7<br\/>Serravalle Genova \u2013 Milano.   <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Reaching our marina by public transport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>And what about those traveling by public transport? Let&#8217;s first consider those arriving at our port<br\/>of Genoa by air: our city is served by Cristoforo Colombo Airport, located in Sestri<br\/>Ponente, just a few kilometers from the center. Connection to the tourist port of Genoa is possible<br\/>both by taxi and, of course, by public transport: notably, the convenient<br\/>Airlink shuttle service, which connects the airport to Sestri Ponente station in just minutes.  <br\/>Regarding trains, there are two reference stations for those wanting to reach the tourist port of Genoa<br\/>center: Genoa Piazza Principe Railway Station, which is just a 10-minute walk<br\/>from our berths; or Genoa Brignole Railway Station, slightly further away,<br\/>but perfectly connected to our tourist port via the metro, with the Darsena station<br\/>just 2 minutes&#8217; walk from the docks.<br\/> Reaching our port of Genoa is easy, whether by boat, car, plane, or train: Marina Porto Antico awaits you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>270 total berths, accommodating boats and yachts up to 75 meters in length,with no concerns regarding draft: Marina Porto Antico is located in the heart of the historicport of Genoa, between the magnificent Aquarium and the Old Dock.
