Halma RIB is the young brand of a shipyard with a glorious history. This new series of luxurious maxi-RIBs has been launched by Cantieri Marel, a Palermo-based company that has long specialized in the production of work boats. With the entry of the Amoroso family into the company, a decision was made to launch a new series of high-end boats, building on the shipyard’s solidity and know-how and meeting the needs of the modern boater.
The first model launched by Halma Rib was the HR30 last year. A refined boat, it immediately stood out for its high-level finishes, the use of premium materials, and, more generally, for an innovative design, thus differentiating Halma RIB from other shipyards right from the start.
The innovation and creativity that characterize Halma RIB do not compromise the use of craftsmanship: it is no coincidence that this new brand was born within Cantieri Marel. Thus, Halma RIB offers aesthetically pleasing, functional, but also durable and highly performant boats, with a hull capable of ensuring both speed and stability.
The Partnership between our Marina and the Sicilian Shipyard
Every marina has different facets, and our marina in Genoa is certainly no exception. For many Ligurian boaters – and not only – this small port in the center of Genoa is an extension of their home, where their boat rests between outings; for other sailors, the Genoa marina is a pleasant discovery, a smart stopover in Liguria. And for others still, Porto Marina Porto Antico is a place to test prestigious boats in a protected, professional, and safe environment.
It is precisely with this spirit that we initiated the partnership with Halma RIB, which sees us as the exclusive dealer of the brand for Northern Italy (including Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna) as well as for Italian-speaking Switzerland. The convenience is therefore to be able to admire and test the maxi-RIBs of this ambitious Palermo-based shipyard in the heart of Genoa.
HR25, the New Model of Halma RIB on Trial at the Port of Genoa
Currently, the HR25, the latest addition from Halma RIB, is moored among the docks of our marina in Genoa, the same hull that was presented in Cannes and at the Genoa Boat Show. With the HR30 FB and EFB boats, the Sicilian shipyard had set the bar very high, combining construction quality, impeccable design, and significant performance like few others. Well, as boaters who have tested the HR25 off our marina have already verified, these high standards have been fully met, even with this ambitious entry-level model.
8.10 meters long and with a maximum beam of 3 meters, it features the peculiarity of being trailerable without fear of breaking the Highway Code: it will be sufficient to deflate the tubes to comfortably transport the RIB far and wide.
In just over 8 meters, the HR25 offers comforts typical of 10-meter hulls. Consider the presence of a bathroom in the dressing room, the aft dinette equipped with a table, the width of the bow sunbathing areas (unusually expanded by the designers Inzerillo and Albeggiani): everything necessary, therefore, for comfortable day trips without any deprivation.
To complete the package, in addition to the attractive design, there is top-notch technological equipment, as well as the ability to reach very high speeds: in tests conducted in rough seas, an HR25 powered by a 300-horsepower Mercury reached a peak of 43.7 knots, at just under 6,000 rpm. And to think that this elegant RIB could also be powered by two 400-horsepower outboards!
