Everything is ready for the sixth edition of the VSG CUP: the tournament that combines the passion for sailing, golf and skiing returns this year with its competitions organized between Piedmont and Liguria. Designed for those who want to have fun in contact with nature, the VSG CUP is unique in its kind not only for its essence as a multisport championship, but also for the peculiarity of putting the competitive aspect in the background. The focus is not on the rankings, but rather on the beauty of being together in the open air, spending memorable days with your team among snow-covered mountains, green golf courses and the sea that bathes our Genoa marina.

VSG CUP 2026: the dates and new features of the new edition
Every year the VSG CUP brings together hundreds of athletes of all ages in various sports competitions, offering a tournament in constant evolution. Among the new features of the 2026 edition of this multisport championship are the introduction of cross-country skiing, thus creating an interesting combination with downhill skiing; as well as the launch of the tournament’s YouTube channel, to follow the live broadcasts of the event in real time and watch the highlights of the various competitions.
Here are the specific dates and venues of the VSG CUP 2026:
- March 7, 2026: Alpine Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing Combined at Bielmonte, at the Oasi Zegna
- March 21, 2026: Golf Trophy at the Golf Club Pineta di Arenzano
- April 25/26, 2026: Two Sailing Regattas in Genoa, at Marina Porto Antico
This year too, our marina is proud to be among the organizers of the VSG CUP, together with Golf Club Pineta di Arenzano, Evolution Project and Sailing Solution Project.
The Multisport championship regulations, in brief
As the athletes who have already participated in previous editions of the VSG CUP 2026 well know, the championship’s objective is to have fun and promote sport. Each new competition in the championship is indeed a new opportunity to come together in an atmosphere of friendship and sharing, perhaps discovering the beauties of Liguria and Piedmont.
The regulations of the VSG CUP 2026 (available online) aim to reward team continuity across the different competitions, from skiing to sailing, through golf. Nevertheless, this year it is also possible to register for a single event, with individual teams being able to add new teammates for the single race.
It is also worth emphasizing that the championship is to be understood as a team event, while also presenting individual awards at the level of individual competitions.
The Alpine Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing Combined, at Bielmonte
Among the strong points of the VSG CUP is filling the winter for boaters: between November and February, in fact, sailors who frequent our Genoa marina are always looking for opportunities to keep their sporting spirit alive! It therefore begins with skiing on the Piedmont snow, and more precisely on the slopes of the Biella Alps.
As anticipated among the new features of the new edition, there is also the cross-country race, which will accompany the classic alpine skiing race: the Oasi Zegna is crossed by both downhill slopes of different difficulty levels and a network of tracks ‘for narrow skis’ in a natural and uncontaminated environment.
The Golf Trophy, in Arenzano
The second appointment with the VSG CUP 2026 will be in Arenzano: here the athletes of our multisport championship will compete on a 9-hole course. The peculiarity of this fascinating plateau is that it overlooks the Ligurian Gulf on one side, and towards Monte Beigua on the other, thus offering breathtaking panoramas and a favorable climate in every season.
Here both players with handicaps and players without handicaps can test themselves, in two different categories, to allow everyone to try their hand with clubs, ball and green.
The sailing regattas, at our Genoa marina
The final competitions of the VSG CUP will be held here, with our Genoa marina as the reference base: to conclude the sporting event between Liguria and Piedmont there will be sailing in the Golfo Paradiso. This year too we expect many boats in the race!
What made the VSG CUP regattas exciting in previous editions were factors such as the heterogeneity of the participating boats and teams, the beauties of the Ligurian sea as well as the uncertainty of spring weather; this year what will make the regattas even more thrilling will be the starting order in pursuit race style, with a chase race that will ensure many beautiful overtakes. The fastest boat will therefore start last, while the slowest can start first!
If the regatta on April 25 will follow the rules of the pursuit race, the next day the appointment will be with the sprint sailing with stick formula.
VSG CUP: prizes, championship registrations and the new YouTube channel
Thanks to the support of many sponsors such as ProShop – Gruppo Rossignol, Ness1, Bank Sails and Nautica Bosa, this year too the VSG CUP will offer prestigious prizes, as well as cups or medals in individual competitions.
Registration for the multisport championship, or possibly for the single race, can be done simply online, by downloading and filling out the form available on the official VSG CUP website.
Finally, we want to share the newly created VSG CUP YouTube channel: here we will upload videos from past editions as well as those from the 2026 championship, and here we will broadcast live streams in the coming months, to ‘experience’ the VSG CUP even remotely.
