Lavori al porto turistico di Genova:

A constantly evolving marina, offering top-notch comfort and services

There are many factors that drive us to continuously improve our marina in Genoa. Obviously, there is first and foremost the desire to present boaters who choose to moor at Marina Porto Antico with the best possible services, to ensure a true 5-star experience during transit and stay in Liguria.

But that’s not all. The unstoppable technological progress presents us with new opportunities to optimize aspects such as sustainability, safety, and logistics; and furthermore, we should not underestimate the inspiration we gather during our moorings in other ports around the world, being passionate sailors ourselves. Driven by this desire to do and offer more, and always better, in recent years our marina in Genoa has undergone significant changes, and is still subject to improvements, aiming for a top-notch 2026.

The evolution of the marina in Genoa in recent years

Those who have been frequenting the berths of our marina in the historic center of Genoa for years have surely noticed: to maintain a high standard in the quality of services offered, our facility has undergone several interventions. For example, we were among the first to install a Wi-Fi network for our guests, with a good signal throughout the marina; and furthermore, we immediately embraced the opportunity to adopt RFID technology to make access to the docks secure, monitored, and fast.

More recently, we have replaced the previous service pedestals with latest-generation models, equipped with smart cards that provide a variety of data to both the port management and boaters mooring in our berths. Thanks to these new pedestals, owners of boats, yachts, and superyachts can access the system through their smartphones, to monitor consumption at any time and activate or deactivate the supply of electricity and water, even remotely. This technology has allowed us to introduce highly accurate consumption-based billing, which has led to greater user accountability. Consumption has thus spontaneously reduced, decreasing the environmental impact of our marina thanks to more conscious choices by boaters.

Furthermore, a significant renovation has involved the restrooms and showers: the work was first carried out on the largest block of facilities, on Ponte Morosini, and then renovated the facilities located on Ponte Calvi and inside the underground parking.

Ongoing works between December and January

As anticipated, improvements to Marina Porto Antico never stop. For this reason, in these weeks, between December and January, we have organized works that will focus on the structure housing the marina management, which will be completely reorganized.

A large part of the work is intended to make the office spaces more functional, starting with a division of spaces between the front office, for customer reception and concierge service, and the back office area. By doing so, the welcome in our marina in Genoa will be even more attentive and refined. That’s not all: the meeting room will also be completely redesigned to make meetings with clients more pleasant.

To meet an increasingly widespread need among those who moor their boat in our marina, we have also decided to create an area dedicated exclusively to package storage for clients, with a reception service for couriers. This way, those who moor their boat in Genoa can have their packages – from boat spare parts to new beach towels to use on a cruise – delivered to our management in complete safety, to be picked up at their leisure in the following days or weeks.

These are the interventions planned for the coming weeks. However, we are already looking ahead: during 2026, we intend to upgrade the surface parking system of our marina, dedicated to our boat owners, to make it more modern and smarter.

Not just a berth for your boat: a 5-star marina

None of these redevelopment and reorganization interventions distracts or will distract our attention from the utmost care for our clients and from routine interventions to ensure the safety of moored boats, such as periodic replacement of mooring lines and chains, inspection and maintenance of bollards and rings, replacement of fenders, and so on.

What makes the difference is our approach: we don’t think of Marina Porto Antico as a facility dedicated exclusively to offering port services. What we offer our clients is more than a mooring in the heart of Genoa, as we can count on a long list of attentions and services: we think of our concierge services, luggage transport with electric car, private parking, assistance in all phases of life on board, restaurants and shops on site, as well as the rich network of partnerships that we make available to boaters, to ensure a high-level stay and navigation experience.
