Genoa’s New Year’s Eve is a grand open-air celebration that will take place between the Old Port and the alleys of the old town. Those mooring at Marina Porto Antico will therefore find themselves immersed in the mega San Silvestro party featuring concerts, shows, and DJ sets. It begins on Sunday, December 29th on the stage in Piazza De Ferrari where the Mates will perform (8:00 PM), the group that will officially open the three days of celebrations. The same evening, at 9 PM, everyone will hit the dance floor with Gabry Ponte, internationally renowned DJ, producer, and radio host. On Monday, December 30th at 8 PM, it will be the turn of Awed and his friends, a trio of very young YouTubers. They are Simone Paciello, known as Awed, video creator, writer, and Italian actor, Riccardo Dose, also a YouTuber and actor who has made irony and parody his distinctive traits, and Amedeo Prezioni, another member of the group. The evening continues with Boomdabash (9:30 PM), one of Italy’s best reggae bands from Salento that made everyone dance with their hit “Mambo salentino”. Tuesday, December 31st is the appointment for the long New Year’s Eve night that will kick off at 9:30 PM with a star whose identity is still unknown but who will precede the other star of the evening, Giusy Ferreri, X Factor sensation.
Meanwhile, in the Expo area, between the Aquarium and the moorings of Marina Porto Antico, the celebration begins (initially) in a more “classical” manner with the symphonic concert of the Wind Orchestra of the Town of Cinquefrondi (from 10:00 PM). But the fun continues even after with the midnight toast accompanied by a DJ set until
dawn.

The New Year’s Eve at the Genoa Aquarium returns this year as well. New for the 2020 edition is the special New Year’s Eve dedicated to the youngest, “Aquarium JUNIOR”, reserved exclusively for children from 5 to 11 years old. Here’s the program: it starts at 8:00 PM with a free visit to discover the nightlife of the tank inhabitants. Guests can enjoy the welcome cocktail and continue the evening with the New Year’s Eve dinner and midnight toast in the setting of the Cetacean Pavilion. With a program parallel to that of the parents, children can participate, accompanied by guides, in workshops and a junior buffet dedicated to them in the Blue Hall, for a New Year’s Eve in the spirit of edutainment.
