Stories of Men and Journeys, May 1: at Castello D’Albertis, a May Day different from the usual, with the opportunity to participate in a special guided tour organized by the Cooperativa Solidarietà e Lavoro titled “Stories of Men and Journeys,” dedicated to the figure of Captain D’Albertis, a 19th-century traveler who wanted to gather everything he collected from every corner of the world in his castle.
Creative Emotion – Sustainability and Color, May 6: at Villa Bombrini, the first edition of Creative Emotion, on the occasion of World Color Day, to promote visual communication, creativity, and environmental protection, drawing inspiration from the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
Genoa Wine Festival, from May 4 to 5: at Palazzo Ducale, the Genoese event dedicated to wine returns, organized by APS Papille Clandestine. In total, there will be 50 wineries from all over Italy in the city, as well as 8 food product stands; it should be noted that this year’s Festival will expand to the historic center, with various events in the heart of Genoa, including meetings with producers, aperitifs, and dinners.
Rolli Days, from May 17 to 19: the theme of the spring edition of Rolli Days will be “Genoa, Garden of Europe.” Those arriving by boat at our marina in Genoa, by car, train, or even by bike, will be able to visit 50 different sites, 10 sacred buildings, 11 villas, 2 archives, and 1 historic library, all with the accompaniment of 90 scientific communicators.
Events in May for Genoa European Capital of Sport: let’s not forget that this year our city is also the European Capital of Sport. Throughout the 12 months, there are many events directly related to the sea and the world of boating, but in May, the highlights are the 39th Ravano Tournament-30th Mantovani Cup and the 20th Sports Festival at Porto Antico: from May 24 to 26, thousands of young people will be able to “take the field” just a few steps from our marina in Genoa.
What to do in Liguria in May 2024
Aromatica, from May 3 to 5 in Diano Marina: there will be a pleasant aroma in the streets of Diano Marina, for the tenth edition of the festival dedicated to aromatic plants and Ligurian excellence.
Bergeggi MareFest 2024, from May 4 to 5: the opportunity to discover the Bergeggi Island Marine Protected Area, during two days of organized activities, including swimming, canoeing, snorkeling, trekking, and yoga.
Two stages of the Giro d’Italia, May 7 and 8: the Giro certainly needs no introduction! In Liguria, the fourth and fifth stages will take place, namely Acqui Terme-Andora on May 7 and Genoa-Lucca on May 8.
Riviera Film Festival, from May 7 to 12, in Sestri Levante: this year, 30 films are in competition, with screenings open to the public as well as masterclasses and various events, featuring major guests from international cinema.
Camogli Fish Festival 2024, May 10-11-12: as always, on the second Sunday of May, the fishing village of Camogli welcomes thousands of people for the legendary fish festival, now in its 72nd edition.
